- The Public Housing Authority (PHA) owns and manages 4,063 units of Public Housing. It is comprised of 1,774 Senior/Disabled units, 1,741 Family units, and 548 Scattered Site single-family homes.
- The PHA has maintained a 98% or higher occupancy rate for the past 20 consecutive years.
- In 2017, the PHA achieved "High Performer" status under PHAS for the 17th consecutive year.
- Currently there are 21,330 individuals and families on AMHA's Public Housing Waiting List. PHA data shows that the average length of stay in Public Housing is approximately 5 years.
